The U.S. Department of Education Announces Schedule for Public Comment Sessions on Proposed Rule Changes to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act

The U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Services (OSERS) has scheduled a series of meetings to provide access to the general public to comment on proposed rule changes to implement programs under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004. OSERS will publish specific session locations in the Notice of Proposed Rule Making in the Spring 2005 Federal Register. What do we do at the Great Lakes ADA Center?

Provide informal technical assistance on the ADA via our toll free number
800-949-4232 (V/TTY).
Conduct trainings on the five titles of the ADA and Accessible Information Technology.
Disseminate publications from various government agencies on the provisions of the ADA.
Assist in locating local and national resources to assist in disability related issues.
